केंद्र सरकार ने नंधौर को ईको सेंसिटिव जोन किया घोषित।
हल्द्वानी वन प्रभाग के प्रभारी डीएफओ नितीश मणि त्रिपाठी की मेहनत लाई रंग।
केंद्र की ओर से नंधौर वन्य जीव अभ्यारण्य के बाहर 0.7 किमी से 15 किमी दायरे में ईको सेंसिटिव जोन निर्धारण की नोटिफिकेशन की गई जारी।
जोन बनने से यहां रह रहे ग्रामीणों के हित किसी भी तरह से प्रभावित नहीं होने की बात कही गई।
ईको सेंसिटिव जोन में पारिस्थितिकी जोन 540 वर्ग किमी दायरे में होगा।
जिसमें हल्द्वानी वन प्रभाग का करीब 270 वर्ग किमी हिस्सा, चम्पावत वन प्रभाग का करीब 100 वर्ग किमी, तराई पूर्वी वन प्रभाग का 167 वर्ग किमी, राजस्व क्षेत्र के दो गांव का 1.95 वर्ग किमी और वन पंचायत क्षेत्र का .15 वर्ग किमी हिस्सा आएगा।
दो ग्राम पंचायतें कठौल और बकरियाल की पाटली ग्रामीणों की सहमति के आधार पर जोन में रखी गई हैं।
दोनों ग्राम पंचायतें पूर्व में नंधौर अभ्यारण्य का हिस्सा थी।
