खनन माफियाओं के अवैध खनन से भूस्खलन का खतरा हुआ पैदा
श्रीनगर में अलकनन्दा नदी में खनन पट्टा धारक ने टिहरी जनपद में खनन पट्टा लेकर पौड़ी जनपद की सीमा में दाखिल होकर पांच पोकलैंड मशीनें लगाकर हजारों टन अवैध खनन कर डाला है,जिससे आसपास की बस्तियों में भूस्खलन का खतरा पैदा हो गया है,यह पट्टा रिवर ट्रेनिंग पॉलिसी के तहत दिया गया है ,जो नदी में भारी मात्रा में खनन सामग्री उपलब्ध होने पर दिया जाता है,जिसकी वजह से नदी के बहाव की दिशा प्रभावित होने की संभावना हो! जबकि अलकनन्दा में जिस स्थान पर खनन पट्टा दिया गया है,वँहा बहुत ही कम खनन सामग्री मौजूद है,फिर यँहा पाँच-पाँच पोकलैंड चलाने की अनुमति देकर कैसे यह खनन पट्टा आबंटित कर दिया गया है। यह प्रशासन की कार्यशैली पर बड़े सवाल खड़े करता है? इस मामले का संज्ञान जब सूबे के उच्च शिक्षा मन्त्री और श्रीनगर विधायक डॉ.धन सिंह रावत के के सामने आया तो उन्होंने मामले की जाँच के आदेश दे दिये हैं,जिससे अब अवैध खनन कर रहे पट्टाधारक पर जल्द कानूनी शिकंजा कसने की उम्मीद जगी है।
