ऋषिकेश-प्राथमिक विधालय बापूग्राम में प्रशासन द्वारा क्वारेंटाइन सेंटर बनाए जाने की जानकारी से ग्रामीणों में आक्रोश भड़क गया।मामले की जानकारी उपजिलाधिकारी प्रेमलाल को देने पर उन्होंने क्वारनटाइन सैंटर शिफ्ट करने से साफ इंकार कर दिया।क्षेत्रीय पार्षद लक्ष्मी रावत व भाजपा नेता रवींद्र राणा ने इसकी सूचना नगर निगम महापौर अनिता ममगाई को दी जिसके बाद महापौर तुरंत मौके पर पहुंची और उन्होंने क्षेत्रवासियों से मामले की जानकारी ली। क्षेत्रवासियों मौके पर क्षेत्रीय पार्षद सहित दिनेश बिष्ट,अनिल रावत,बबली बिष्ट,ममता बिष्ट आदि ने महापौर को बताया कि घनी आबादी के बीच इस स्कूल में क्वारेंटाइन सेंटर बनाना गलत है।
जबकि स्कूल में शौचालय तक की सुविधा भी नही है। ग्रामीणों ने महापौर से क्वारेंटाइन सेंटर को अन्यत्र शिफ्ट करने की मांग की । जिसके बाद बिना समय गवाए महापौर क्वारनटाइन सैंटर के लिए आई डी पी एल गेस्ट हाऊस और आई डी पी एल सेंट्रल स्कूल का निरीक्षण करने पहुंची।यहां उन्होंने तमाम व्यवस्थाएं सही पायी और इसके बाद उन्होंने जनपद के जिलाधिकारी को फोन कर मामले की जानकारी दी।महापौर ने जिलाधिकारी को बताया कि उन्हें बताया कि विभिन्न राज्यों से प्रवासी उत्तराखंड के लोग लगातार आ रहे हैं।क्वारनटाइन सैंटर में बेहतर व्यवस्थाओं का होना बेहद आवश्यक है।उनकी तमाम बातें सुनने के बाद जिलाधिकारी ने सहमति जताते हुए क्वारनटाइन सैंटर शिफ्ट कराने के निर्देश दिए।
