कोटद्वार: कोटद्वार रेंज में कण्वाश्रम मृग विहार में वन विभाग की टीम ने एक 12 फिट लंबा अजगर पकड़ा. अजगर जंगल से निकल आबादी की तरफ आ गया था. वहां उसने एक बंदर और उसके बच्चे को अपना निवाला बना लिया. इस घटना से इलाके के लोग दहशत में हैंं कि लैंसडाउन वन प्रभाग की कोटद्वार रेंज के कण्वाश्रम स्थित मृग विहार के पास एक 12 फीट लंबे अजगर ने बंदर और उसके बच्चे को अपना निवाला बना लिया. बंदरों का शोर सुनकर जब आस-पास के ग्रामीण मौके पर पहुंचे तो भारी-भरकम अजगर को देखकर उनके होश उड़ गए. ग्रामीणों ने इसकी सूचना पास स्थित वन विभाग की टीम को दी. वन विभाग की टीम ने रेंज कार्यालय से सांप पकड़ने वाली एक्सपर्ट टीम को बुलाया.टीम ने मौके पर पहुंचकर अजगर को रेस्क्यू किया और अपने साथ रेंज कार्यालय ले गई. इसके बाद उसे सुरक्षित जंगल में छोड़ दिया गया
