मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र सिंह रावत के निर्देश पर राज्य में साधारण ग्रेड चिकित्साधिकारियों के 763 रिक्त पदों को भरने की प्रक्रिया प्रारम्भ कर दी गई है। उत्तराखण्ड प्रान्तीय चिकित्सा एवं स्वास्थ्य सेवा संवर्ग के तहत साधारण ग्रेड चिकित्साधिकारियों के रिक्त पदों को भरने के लिए शासन द्वारा उत्तराखण्ड चिकित्सा सेवा चयन बोर्ड को अध्याचन भेजा गया है। बोर्ड से रिक्त 763 पदों पर सीधी भर्ती के लिए तत्काल विज्ञप्ति प्रकाशित कर चयन की कार्यवाही प्राथमिकता से करने की अपेक्षा की गई है।
मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र सिंह रावत ने कहा कि 763 चिकित्सकों की भर्ती से राज्य के हेल्थ सिस्टम को मजबूती मिलेगी। प्रदेश के हेल्थ इन्फ्रास्ट्रक्चर में काफी सुधार किया गया है। आज हर जिले में आईसीयू की सुविधा है। चिकित्सकों की संख्या पहले की तुलना में दोगुनी की गई है। टेली रेडियोलोजी और टेली मेडिसिन शुरू की गई। हम कोविड-19 के संक्रमण को नियंत्रित करने में सफल रहे है। उत्तराखण्ड सर्वाधिक रिकवरी रेट वाला राज्य है। हमारे यहां मृत्यु दर राष्ट्रीय औसत से काफी कम है। कोरोना काल में 400 नए डाक्टरों की भर्ती की गई, 273 आईसीयू बेड, 165 वेंटिलेटर और 33 बाईपेप मशीनों की व्यवस्था की गई। इसके साथ ही 13 जिला अस्पतालों/बेस अस्पतालों में आक्सीजन सप्लाई पाईप लाईन का निर्माण किया जा रहा है।
