ऋषिकेश- नगर निगम महापौर अनिता ममगाई ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड का लोक पर्व हरेला आज विश्व का त्योहार बन चुका है। पर्यावरण प्रदूषण से जूझ रही सारी दुनिया ने इसे अपनाया है और पौधारोपण अभियान शुरू कर दिया है।उन्होंने कहा कि पर्व के दौरान पर्यावरण सुरक्षा को लेकर नगर की विभिन्न संस्थाओं के साथ लोगों ने जो उत्साह दिखाया है वह उम्मीद जगाने वाला है। उक्त विचार नगर निगम ने आज दोपहर नमामि गंगे के तत्वावधान में वीरभ्रद मार्ग स्थित मीरा बेन औषधीय वन अनुसंधान में आयोजित पौधारोपण कार्यक्रम में बतौर मुख्यातिथि के रूप मै शिरकत करते हुए व्यक्त किए। कार्यक्रम के तहत 50 छायादार, फलदार एवं औषधीय पौधों का रोपण किया गया जिसमें नमामि गंगा संस्था के तमाम सदस्यों ने इन रोपित किए गए पौधों के संरक्षण का भी संकल्प लिया। आयोजित कार्यक्रम में संस्था को पौधारोपण कार्यक्रम के लिए बधाई देते हुए महापौर ने कहा कि हरेला पर्व एक पखवाड़े तक सीमित नहीं रहना चाहिए ।हम सब को यह संकल्प लेना होगा कि जो पौधा हमने रोपा है उसे वृक्ष बनाने में हम पूर्ण सहयोग करें। महापौर ममगाई ने कहा कि हमारे पूर्वज कितने विद्वान थे कि उन्होंने दूरदर्शिता का परिचय देते हुए उस दौरान स्वच्छ वातावरण के बावजूद एक त्यौहार ऐसा निर्धारित कर दिया था जिसमें पौधारोपण किया जा सके। उन्होंने कहा कि आज प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को यह संकल्प लेना होगा कि वह अपने घर को पर्यावरण घर और औषधीय घर बनाकर औषधीय पौधों का रोपण अवश्य करे।इस दौरान नमामि गंगे के प्रदेश संयोजक कपिल गुप्ता, पंकज गुप्ता ,राजपाल ठाकुर, हैप्पी सेमवाल ,राजीव थपलियाल, पंकज शर्मा
