*योग नगरी रेलवे स्टेशन प्रधानमंत्री द्वारा ऋषिकेश वासियों को दी गई सबसे बड़ी सौगात-अनिता ममगाई*
ऋषिकेश-ऋषिकेश-कर्णप्रयाग रेल परियोजना के पहले रेलवे स्टेशन योग नगरी ऋषिकेश के तैयार होने पर नगर निगम महापौर अनिता ममगाई ने रेलवे विभाग के तमाम अधिकारियों का आभार जताया है।
महापौर ने मंगलवार को रेलवे स्टेशन का निरीक्षण कर अधिकारियों को पुष्प गुच्छ भेंटकर उनका अभिनंदन किया। इस दौरान उन्होंने कहा कि देश के प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की ओर से ऋषिकेश वासियों को दिया गया यह नायाब तोहफा है।इससे आने वाले वर्षों में तीर्थाटन और पर्यटन नई ऊचाईयों को छूएगा और अंतरराष्ट्रीय ख्याति प्राप्त धार्मिक एवं पर्यटन नगरी ऋषिकेश में रेल यातायात नई इबारत लिखेगा।
योग नगरी ऋषिकेश रेलवे स्टेशन के तैयार होने पर केंद्रीय रेल मंत्री पीयूष गोयल द्वारा ट्वीट के जरिए
रेलवे अधिकारियों की हौसला अफजाई करने के बाद आज महापौर भी रेलवे स्टेशन का निरीक्षण करने पहुंची। उन्होंने बेहद खूबसूरत रेलवे स्टेशन के निर्माण के लिए अधिकारियों का आभार जताया। उन्होंने कहा कि अब से कुछ वर्ष पूर्व शायद ही किसी ऋषिकेश वासी ने सपने में भी सोचा होगा कि तीर्थ नगरी में एक दिन ऐसा शानदार रेलवे स्टेशन बनकर तैयार हो जाएगा जिसकी तुलना देश के किसी भी बेहतरीन से बेहतरीन रेलवे स्टेशन से की जा सकेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि बेहद गर्व की बात है कि गढवाल के मुख्य द्वार के रेलवे स्टेशन का नाम तय करने में नगर नगर निगम ने महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका अदा की है। शुरुआत में रेलवे स्टेशन का नाम न्यू ऋषिकेश रेलवे स्टेशन रखा जाना था जिस पर उनके द्वारा मुरादाबाद के डी आर एम से आग्रह किया गया कि इस रेलवे स्टेशन का नाम योग नगरी के नाम पर होना चाहिए उनकी बातें बेहद गंभीरता पूर्वक सुनी गई जिसके बाद उन्होंने आश्वस्त किया कि आपके सुझाव को रेलवे विभाग के आलाअधिकारियों तक पहुंचा दिया जायेगा।इस बीच बोर्ड की बैठक में प्रस्ताव पारित कर योग नगरी ऋषिकेश रेलवे स्टेशन का नाम रखे जाने का प्रस्ताव सर्वसम्मति से पारित किया गया। लंबी मशक्कत के बाद यह ऐतिहासिक नाम इस रेलवे स्टेशन को मिल सका है। उन्होंने कहा कि ऋषिकेश वासियों की दिली ख्वाहिश है कि प्रधानमंत्री स्वयं इस रेलवे स्टेशन का शुभारंभ अपने कर कमलों द्वारा करें।इस दौरान
प्रोजेक्ट मैनेजर ओमप्रकाश मालगुडी , सतीश चंद्र गुप्ता,पार्षद राकेश मियां, राकेश सिंह भार्गव, राजीव राणा, परीक्षित मेहरा, राजेश आदि मोजूद रहे।
