सचिव श्री नितेश कुमार झा ने संयुक्त सचिव चिकित्सा स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार को प्रेषित पत्र में बताया कि 150 प्रशिक्षु छात्रों हेतु प्रस्तावित राजकीय मेडिकल कॉलेज, कोटद्वार की स्थापना हेतु 12.837 हेक्टेयर भूमि उपलब्ध है।
राजकीय मेडिकल कॉलेज कोटद्वार में निर्माण कार्यों हेतु एम.सी.आई के मानक अनुसार मेडिकल कॉलेज के निर्माण कार्यों, उपकरणों एवं फर्नीचर आदि हेतु कुल 471.099 करोड़ रुपए की लागत का आगणन किया गया है। राज्य सरकार के सीमित संसाधनों को देखते हुए उक्त मेडिकल कॉलेज की स्वीकृति केन्द्र पोषित योजना में की जाए।
