उन्होंने झील के सौंदर्यीकरण के लिए व्यापक स्तर पर कार्य योजना तैयार करने के निर्देश दिए हैं।
हरिद्वार रोड ऋषिकेश में संजय झील के सौंदर्यीकरण के संबंध में महापौर तमाम संम्बन्धित अधिकारियों से बैठकें करती रही हैं। सोमवार को एक कदम और आगे बढ़ाते हुए नगर निगम महापौर अनिता ममगाई ने प्रभागीय वन अधिकारी एक पत्र प्रेषित कर नगर निगम ऋषिकेश में रंभा नदी पर अव्यवस्थित संजय झील के सौन्दर्यीकरण के लिए उनसे आवश्यक कारवाई की मांग की है।प्रेषित पत्र में महापौर ने अवगत कराया कि संजय झील की भू अभिलेखों की जांच नगर निगम तथा वन विभाग द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से की की गई थी।जिसमें तमाम जानकारी जुटाने पर पता चला था कि यह भूमि वन विभाग की है जिसका डी पी आर वन विभाग को तैयार कराकर नमामि गंगे परियोजना कार्यालय को प्रेषित करना है। संजय झील निर्माण पर हजारों लोगों की आस लगी है।उसके निर्माण एवं सौंदर्यीकरण से ऋषिकेश में पर्यटन को बड़ावा दिया जाना है।इसलिए जल्द से जल्द आवश्यक कारवाई सुनिश्चित करायें ताकि संजय झील की योजना मूर्तरूप ले सके।इस बाबत जानकारी देते हुए महापौर ममगाई ने बताया कि संजय झील का निर्माण कराना उनके चुनावी एजेंडे में शामिल था।संजय झील का जल्द से जल्द निमार्ण कराकर इसे विकसित कराने के लिए हर आवश्यक कदम उठाये जा रहे हैंं।24 दिसंबर 2019 को इस विषय को नमामि गंगे के अधिकारियों के समक्ष उठाया था।
23 मई 2020 को निगम के अधिकारियों को निर्देशित किया था कि उक्त जगह का भू स्वामित्व की रिपोर्ट तैयार करें। इसी कड़ी में और आज प्रभागीय वन अधिकारी देहरादून को पत्र के माध्यम से डीपीआर तैयार करके भारत सरकार को प्रेषित किए जाने का अनुरोध किया है। उन्होंने विश्वास पूर्वक कहा कि संजय झील का जल्द निर्माण होगा।इसके बनने से ऋषिकेश की आभा और बड़ेगी।तीर्थटन एवं पर्यटन को बड़ावा
मिलेगा। नमामि गंगे एवं कुंभ योजना के तहत इस कार्य को संयुक्त रूप से धरातल पर उतारा जाएगा। जिसके लिए आज प्रभागीय वन अधिकारी को पत्र प्रेषित कर आवश्यक कार्रवाई की मांग की गई है।
