उत्तराखंड प्रदेश कांग्रेस कमेटी के उपाध्यक्ष सूर्यकांत धस्माना ने देहरादून के बालावाला में सरकारी संस्थागत क्वेरेन्टीन सेंटर में जबलपुर से आये हरिद्वार के युवक द्वारा आत्महत्या और लाश से आ रही दुर्गंध व ये आशंका कि आत्महत्या दो तीन दिन पहले की हो सकती है इस पर राज्य की त्रिवेंद्र सरकार पर जोरदार हमला करते हुए राज्य सरकार की संस्थागत क्वेरेन्टीन की बदहाल व्यवस्था पर सवाल खड़े करते हुए सरकार से पूछा है कि क्या त्रिवेंद्र सरकार ने उत्तराखंड की जनता को भगवान भरोसे छोड़ दिया है? बालावाला क्वेरेन्टीन सेंटर में युवक की आत्म हत्या क्या सरकारी संस्थागत क्वेरेन्टीन की बदहाली बयान नहीं करती? क्या संस्थागत क्वेरेन्टीन सेंटरों में ठहराए गए लोगों की निगरानी नहीं होती ? धस्माना ने कहा कि इस से पहले राज्य में एक आत्म हत्या व एक सांप के काटने से हुई मौत यह साबित करने के लिए काफी है कि बीजेपी सरकार ने उत्तराखंड की जनता को भेद बकरी समझ कर उनके साथ जानवरों से किये जाने वाला व्यहवाहर किया है। श्री धस्माना ने कहा कि कांग्रेस अब लोगों के साथ बीजेपी सरकार द्वारा किये गए अमानवीय व्यहवाहर को बर्दाश्त नहीं करेगी।
