ऋषिकेश- ट्रैचिंग ग्राउंड के मामले में नगर निगम को एक बड़ी कामयाबी हासिल हुई है। उत्तराखंड राज्य वन्य जीव बोर्ड की बैठक में निगम के प्रस्ताव पर शासन ने मोहर लगा दी ।सब कुछ ठीक रहा तो जल्द ही सचिवालय से निगम की इस महत्वपूर्ण परियोजना के प्रस्ताव की फाईल भारत सरकार को भेज दी जायेगी।
सोमवार की दोपहर उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत की अध्यक्षता में सचिवालय स्थित विश्वकर्मा भवन के वीर चंद्र सिंह गढ़वाली सभागार में उत्तराखंड राज्य वन्यजीव बोर्ड की 15वीं बैठक संपन्न हुई ।बैठक में विभिन्न प्रस्तावों पर मंथन करने के अलावा ऋषिकेश नगर निगम के महत्वकांक्षी योजना ट्रेचिंग ग्राउंड के मामले पर भी गंभीरता पूर्वक विचार कर हरी झंडी दिखा दी गई।
नगर निगम मेयर अनिता ममगाई ने बताया कि नगर निगम द्वारा लाल पानी में ठोस अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन एवं प्रोसेसिंग प्लांट हेतु 10 हेक्टेयर भूमि नगर निगम को लीज पर दिए जाने का प्रस्ताव रखा गया था जिसने निगम द्वारा मुनी की रेती के साथ ऋषिकेश स्वर्ग आश्रम ,नरेंद्र नगर ,डोईवाला हेतु ठोस अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन करने के लिए भूमि हस्तांतरण का प्रस्ताव तैयार किया गया था। उन्होंने निगम के प्रस्ताव को सहानुभूति पूर्वक पारित कराने के लिए उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत का आभार जताया ।महापौर ममगई ने कहा कि शासन स्तर पर निगम के प्रस्ताव को हरी झंडी मिलने के बाद सचिवालय से जल्द ही निगम के प्रस्ताव को भारत सरकार को भेज दिया जाएगा जिसके बाद सब कुछ ठीक रहा तो नगर निगम को 10 हेक्टेयर भूमि ट्रेचिंग ग्राउंड के लिए हस्तांतरित हो जाएगी।
