मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत ने रक्षा मंत्री से गोरखा मिलिट्री इंटर कॉलेज की बीज बढ़ाएं जाने का किया अनुरोध
देहरादून: मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत ने रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह से कैंट एरिया में स्थित गोरखा मिलिट्री इंटर कॉलेज के भवन और भूमि की लीज को बढ़ाने का अनुरोध किया है। यह कॉलेज देहरादून कैंट एरिया में है, और लंबे समय से संचालित हो रहा है। मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेंद्र सिंह रावत ने रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह से देहरादून कैंट स्थित गोरखा मिलिट्री इंटर कॉलेज के भवन एवं भूमि को न्यूनतम दरों पर दोबारा लीज पर दिए जाने का अनुरोध किया है। उन्होंने ने कहा है, कि साल 1927 से रक्षा विभाग भारत सरकार से लीज पर मिली 3.542 एकड़ की भूमि पर गोरखा मिलिट्री इंटर कॉलेज संचालित किया जा रहा है। इसमें कक्षा 06 से कक्षा 12 तक कक्षाएं संचालित हो रही हैं। इस विद्यालय में सैनिकों, पूर्व सैनिकों, अल्पवेतन भोगी कर्मचारियों के बच्चों को नाम मात्र के शुल्क पर शिक्षा ग्रहण करायी जा रही है।उन्होंने कहा कि कक्षा 06 से कक्षा 09 तक के विद्यार्थियों को निःशुल्क शिक्षा एवं पाठ्य पुस्तकें भी प्रदान की जा रही हैं। इन सभी हालातों को देखते हुए एक बार फिर इस स्कूल की लीज को बढ़ाए जाने का अनुरोध किया।
