कोरोना वयरस की वजह से जहां एक और प्रवासी लोगों अपने-अपने ब्लॉकों का रुख कर रहे हैं,तो वहीं अब जिलाधिकारी पौड़ी भी ऐसे लोगों को स्वरोजगार की ओर प्रेरित करने के लिए एक और नई पहल शुरू करने जा रहे हैं, जिले में अब पोल्ट्री फार्म को और अधिक विकसित करने के लिए जिलाधिकारी पौड़ी धिराज सिंह गब्र्याल ने जिले की कोटद्वार स्थित हैचरी को अपग्रेड करने के लिए काम शुरू कर दिया है, जिलाधिकारी पौड़ी ने बताया कि जिले की कोटद्वार हैचरी को अपडेट करने के लिए शासन द्वारा पैसा भी दे दिया गया है, 
अब जिले में पोल्ट्री फॉर्म को नई तरीके से विकसित करने के लिए काम किया जा रहा है उन्होंने बताया कि जिले में अब कड़कनाथ (मुर्गे) की ब्रांडिंग भी की जाएगी। इस मुर्गे का मांस और अंडे की मांग अन्य प्रदेशों में बहुत अधिक है, इसकी मांग को देखते हुए अगर पोल्ट्री फॉर्म को जिले में नए रूप से विकसित हो जाये तो जिले में बेरोजगारों को रोजगार भी और अधिक दिया जा सकेगा । इसका अंडा और मानसून मांस पोस्टिक के साथ-साथ यूमिनीति बढ़ाने का भी काम करता है जिसके लिए इसकी बाजार में बहुत अधिक मांग है। उन्होंने बताया कि कोटद्वार स्थित हैचरी में अब तक डेढ़ लाख की ही फार्मिंग होती थी, मगर अब हैचरी को विकसित करने के बाद इसकी क्षमता को दोगुना कर तीन लाख कर दिया जाएगा। ग्रामीणों तक इसको पहुंचाने के लिए प्रत्येक ब्लॉक में दो सेंटर का भी निर्माण नही किया जाएगा । जिससे आसानी से ग्रामीण पोल्ट्री फार्म के लिए कड़कनाथ (मुर्गा) ले सकेंगे ।उन्होंने बताया कि आने वाले कुछ दिनों में पूरे प्रदेश में कड़कनाथ को ब्रांड के रूप में पेश किया जाएगा। जिससे इसकी मांग बढ़ेगी और जो प्रवासी इस क्षेत्र में रोजगार तलाश करना चाहते हैं उनको भी रोजगार उपलब्ध कराया जाएगा। उन्होंने उम्मीद जताई है कि आने वाले कुछ समय बाद प्रदेश का पौड़ी जिला कड़कनाथ के क्षेत्र में अपना एक अलग ही नाम रोशन करेगा।
