कल चतुर्थ केदार रुद्रनाथ के कपाट सुबह श्रद्धालुओ के लिए खोल दिए गए हैं। 15 मई को भगवान रुद्रनाथ की डोली गोपेश्वर गोपीनाथ मन्दिर से रुद्रनाथ के लिए प्रस्थान हुई थी, रात्रि विश्राम पुंग खर्क में किया गया, अगले दिन रुद्रनाथ की डोली रात्रि विश्राम के लिए रुद्रनाथ पहुंची और कल को ब्रह्म मूरत पर रुद्रनाथ के कपाट श्रद्धालुओ के लिए खोल दिये गए। भगवान रुद्रनाथ मंदिर हिंदुस्तान में मात्र एक मंदिर ऐसा है जहां मुख के दर्शन होते हैं। रुद्रनाथ समुद्र तल से 2290 मीटर की खड़ी ऊंचाई पर बसा है, रुद्रनाथ पहुंचने के लिए गोपेश्वर से 24 की0मी0 की दूरी पैदल ही तय करना पड़ता है। इस बीच स्थानीय लोगों द्वारा छोटी छोटी दुकाने भी बनाई गई है, जिसे यात्रियों को चाय पानी व खाने की व्यवस्था हो जाती है हैं।
