कोटद्वार: पौड़ी जिले के लैंसडाउन वन प्रभाग में इन दिनों धड़ल्ले से लकड़ियों की तस्करी की जा रही है. तस्कर नाप खेत के नाम पर परमिशन ले रहे हैं और हरे पेड़ों पर आरे चला रहे हैं. तहसीलदार और नायब तहसीलदार अवैध खनन और ओवर लोडिंग के खिलाफ अभियान चला रहे थे. इसी दौरान एक ट्रक को रोका. ट्रक में चीड़ के लट्ठे लदे थे. ट्रक को सीज कर लिया गया है.पकड़ा गया लकड़ी से लदा ट्रक नायब तहसीलदार राजेंद्र प्रसाद ममगाई ने बताया, कि अवैध खनन और ओवर लोडिंग के खिलाफ उनकी टीम चेकिंग अभियान चला रही थी. तभी कौड़िया पेट्रोल पंप के पास एक ट्रक को रोका गया. तलाशी लेने पर ट्रक में चीड़ की लकड़ी लदी मिली। उन्होंने बताया, कि मामले की जांच के लिए उप जिलाधिकारी के जरिए वन विभाग को पत्र भेज दिया गया है. वन विभाग की जांच के बाद ही आगे की कार्रवाई होगी
