ऋषिकेश- तीर्थ नगरी को ग्रीन सिटी बनाने के संकल्प के साथ नगर निगम प्रशासन ने हरेला पर्व धूमधाम से मनाया ।इस दौरान आस्था पथ,प्रगति विहार, जंगलात चौकी, कृष्णा नगर कालौनी सहित विभिन्न स्थानों पर महापौर अनिता ममगाई के नेतृत्व में सैकड़ों फलदार छायादार एवं औषधीय पौधों का रोपण किया गया। कार्यक्रम के दौरान महापौर ने तमाम उपस्थिति को पर्यावरण के संरक्षण के लिए सरकार की ओर से चलाए जा रहे कार्यक्रमों में जुड़ने एवं पौधों की देखभाल करने की शपथ भी दिलाई।
लोक संस्कृति से जुड़े हरेला पर्व पर आज अनेक स्थानों में जहां विभिन्न संस्थाओं ने पौधारोपण किया वही तीर्थ नगरी को ग्रीन सिटी बनाए जाने के संकल्प के साथ नगर निगम प्रशासन ने शहर के विभिन्न स्थानों पर सैकड़ों पौधों के जरिए प्रकृति का श्रंगार किया।इस अवसर पर महापौर ममगाई ने कहा कि हरेला हमारी लोक संस्कृति का ऐसा पर्व है जो सदियों से हम मनाते आ रहे हैं। मान्यता है कि इस लोक पर्व के दिन रोपे गए पौधे विशाल वृक्ष बनते हैं।उन्होंने कहा कि हमें पौधरोपण अभियान के साथ पौधों की सुरक्षा का अभियान भी चलाना चाहिए। हमारा ज़ोर पौधों की सुरक्षा तय करने की व्यवस्था पर होना चाहिए और इसकी ज़िम्मेदारी भी तय होनी चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि हरेला पर्व उत्तराखंड लोक संस्कृति पर आधारित है। यह पर्व वर्षा ऋतु के आरम्भ में श्रावण मास में सुख स्मृद्धि की कामना करते हुए मनाया जाता है। हरेला पर्व कृषि प्रधान परंपरा को आगे बढ़ाने की ऊर्जा समाज को देता है। इस पर्व में एक नही बल्कि अनेक संदेश छिपे है। उन्होंने कहा कि पर्यावरण संरक्षण के साथ ही ये पर्व सामाजिक सदभाव और प्रकृति के प्रति हमारी जिम्मेदारी का भी अहसास भी कराता है। इस दौरान एसडीएम वरुण चौधरी, नगर आयुक्त नरेंद्र सिंह क्वीरियाल, सहायक नगर आयुक्त विनोद लाल,पार्षद राकेश सिंह मियां,पार्षद विजेंद्र मोगा, पार्षद राजेंद्र प्रेम सिंह बिष्ट, पार्षद विजय बडोनी, बीएन तिवारी अनिल ध्यानी, अनिकेत गुप्ता, अनीता प्रधान, प्रवेश कुमार, रंजन अंथवाल, गौरव कैंथोला, राजीव राणा, राकेश कुमार भार्गव, परीक्षित मेहरा ,मदन कोठारी पंकज शर्मा, राजपाल ठाकुर, सुनील रस्तोगी, ,जॉनी लांबा , राजीव गुप्ता आदि प्रमुख रूप से शामिल रहे।
