वैश्विक महामारी के कारण हुए लाॅकडाउन से ठप्प हुआ चारधाम परियोजना का कार्य अब धीरे धीरे रफ्तार पकड़ने लगे है। हालांकि मानसून की चुनौती अब भी खड़ी है। दरसल, चारों धामों के लिए बनाई जा रही ऑलवेदर परियोजना का कार्य बीते चार महिनों से ठप्प पड़ा था। वैश्विक महामारी कोरोना वायरस के कारण हुए लाॅकडाउन से निर्माण कार्य में जुटे मजदूर अपने घरों को लौट गए थे, जबकि मशीनों के पार्ट और मैकेनिक न मिलने से निर्माण कार्य में जुटी मशीने जहां तहां खराब पड़ी थी। मजदूरों को वापस काम पर आने की परिमिशन नहीं मिल पा रही थी। ऐसे में परियोजना का कार्य व्यापक पैमाने पर प्रभावित हो गया था। हालांकि अब जैसे जैसे उत्तराखण्ड में लाॅकडाउन की कुछ पाबंदियां हटी तो मजदूरों को भी परिमिशन मिलने लगी। हालांकि मजदूर अब भी कोरोना से खौफ खाते हैं। मजदूरों के आने से अब आॅलवेदर निर्माण का कार्य फिर से गति पकड़ने लगा है, लेकिन चार धाम परियोजना के कार्य में जुटी कम्पनियों को अब भी बड़ी मात्रा में मजदूरों की दरकार है।
