नैनीताल हाईकोर्ट में लॉकडाउन के दौरान देश के तमाम शहरों में फंसे लोगों को उत्तराखंड में वापस लाने संबंधी दायर जनहित याचिका पर सुनवाई करते हुए कोर्ट ने केंद्र व राज्य सरकारों से पूछा है कि प्रवासियों को लाने के लिये कितनी ट्रेनें और बसे चलाई जा रही है और अभी तक कितने लोग राज्य में वापस लाये गये है। कोर्ट ने केंद्र व राज्य दोनो ही सरकारों से कर पूछा है कि बताये प्रवासियों को लाने में क्यों देरी हो रही है और उनको लाने में कितनी ट्रेनें और बसें चलाई जा रही है। कोर्ट ने मामले की सुनवाई के लिये कोर्ट ने 21 मई की तिथि नियत की है।
आज कोर्ट में सुनवाई के दौरान राज्य सरकार ने बताया कि अभी तक करीब 61 हजार लोगों को वापस लाया गया है। जिस पर कोर्ट ने नाराजगी व्यक्त करते हुए कहा जल्द से जल्द लाने की व्यवस्था की जाए। जबकि रजिस्ट्रेशन की संख्या करीब 2 लाख 20 हजार है लिहाजा इनको लाने में सरकार तेजी लाये तांकि कोरोना के संकट से लोगों को बचाया जा सके।
आपको बता दे कि धनोल्टी से विधायक प्रीतम सिंह पंवार की तरफ से हाईकोर्ट में याचिका दायर कर कहा गया था कि राज्य सरकार केवल प्रवासी मजदूरों को ही वापस ला रही है जबकि लॉकडाउन के दौरान कई वर्ग के लोग फंसे है जिसमे बड़ी संख्या में छात्र भी शामिल है लिहाजा सभी को वापस लाया जाये और किसी के साथ भेदभाव ना किया जाए।
