पुलिस ने फर्जी कागजों से रजिस्ट्रेशन करवाकर व फर्जी ई वे बिल बनाकर 529 करोड़ रुपये की जीएसटी चोरी के मामले में 34 फर्मों के विरूद्ध मुकदमा दर्ज किया है। पुलिस ने यह कार्यवाही राज्य कर विभाग के डिप्टी कमिश्नर आर एल वर्मा के द्वारा दी गयी तहरीर के आधार पर की गई है। बता दे कि राज्य कर विभाग की एसटीएफ टीम ने काशीपुर जसपुर और हल्द्वानी की विभाग में पंजीकृत साढे 3 दर्जन से अधिक फर्मों की जांच की। जिसमें एसटीएफ टीम के सामने एक बड़ा फर्जीवाड़ा निकल कर सामने आया है। जिनकी जांच करने पर एसटीएफ टीम चकित रह गई। कागजों में जिन फर्मों को दिखाया गया था मौके पर वह फर्म संचालित ही नहीं हो रही थी। इतना ही नहीं कागजों में जिन भवनों में फर्मों के संचालन को दिखाया गया था वर्तमान में वहां कोई भवन ही नहीं था। यही नहीं रेंट एग्रीमेंट जिस भवन स्वामी के नाम पर किया गया था उन्होंने रेंट एग्रीमेंट पर अपने हस्ताक्षर को ही फर्जी बताया। जांच में यह भी सामने आया कि इन फर्मो ने कूट रचित तरीके से फर्जी कागजात तैयार कर रजिस्ट्रेशन करा लिया। राज्य कर लोकायुक्त की तरफ से जिन 34 फ़र्मों के खिलाफ मुकदमा दर्ज कराया गया है, उनमे 17 फर्में हल्द्वानी, काशीपुर की 10, रुद्रपुर की 3 तथा 4 फर्में देहरादून क्षेत्र में पंजीकृत हैं। जांच में पता चला कि इन सभी 34 फर्मों ने फर्जी कागजात के जरिए बिना कोई माल सप्लाई के ई वे बिल बनाकर 529 करोड़ रुपये के राजस्व का नुकसान किया। हालांकि इनमें 8 फर्मों ने अक्टूबर 2019 का रिटर्न जीएसटी पोर्टल पर दाखिल किया है जबकि अन्य फर्मों ने जीएसटी रिटर्न ही दाखिल नहीं किया। प्रदेश में करोड़ों रुपये की इस जीएसटी चोरी का मामला सामने आने के बाद हड़कंप मच गया है। पुलिस ने प्राप्त तहरीर के आधार पर आरोपियों के खिलाफ धारा 420, 409 और 66सी आईटी एक्ट के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है।
