मुनि चितानंद स्वामी स्वर्गाश्रम की 148 नाली विवादित भूमि के मामले पर हाईकोर्ट में हुई सुनवाई
नैनीताल हाईकोर्ट ने मुनि चितानंद स्वामी स्वर्गाश्रम की 148 नाली विवादित भूमि राज्य सरकार को हस्तांतरित किए जाने के सम्बन्ध में दायर जनहित याचिका पर सुनवाई करते हुए याचिकर्ता से कोर्ट ने पूछा है कि संविधान के अनुच्छेद 226 में इस जमीन को पब्लिक ला रैमिडी में कैसे किया जा सकता है और यह भी पूछा है कि इस भूमि को सरकार को कैसे हस्तांतरित किया जा सकता है इसका जवाब 8 जून तक कोर्ट को बताएं। मामले की सुनवाई मुख्य न्यायधिश रमेश रंगनाथन व न्यायमूर्ति आरसी खुल्बे की खंडपीठ में हुई।
मामले के अनुसार हाई कोर्ट के अधिवक्ता हरिद्वार निवासी विवेक शुक्ला ने जनहित याचिका कर कहा है कि मुनि चितानन्द स्वामी के स्वर्गआश्रम की 148 नाली विवादित भूमि जिसकी कीमत लगभग 3 सौ करोड़₹ है पर स्वर्गाश्रम बनाया गया है जो कि किसी साहू राम नारायण दास के नाम दर्ज है जिसे वे संत सुखदेव स्वामी को देना चाहते थे लेकिन उन्होंने उक्त जमीन दान में ना लेकर उसे एक ट्रस्ट बना दिया. सन 1972-73 में मुनि चिदानंद ने इस जमीन को अपने नाम कराकर उस पर आश्रम बना दिया । याचिकाकर्ता का यह भी कहना है कि इस भूमि को सरकार को हस्तांतरित कर जनता हित के लिए उपयोग में लाया जाए।
